In February I held the first Black Heart Creatives jewellery workshop in Bristol at The Crazy Fox Coffee Shop, with a Valentines theme, and it went down a treat! It was the first event we had done in Bristol as we did find it a bit tricky spreading the word, but with the help of some bloggers (thank you blog club!)
The Crazy Fox is a new coffee shop in Broadmead which hands down does the best hot chocolate I have *ever* had. Charlie the owner very kindly let us have the amazing space upstairs so we could make the jewellery and be as chatty and loud as we liked.
We worked with the new glitter acrylic (that we now have in stock!) to make heart charm necklaces and earrings, and like previous events everyone is given the exact same materials and pieces to work with, but with a lot of swapping with each other, everyone made still came away with something completely different to everyone else!
Before I made necklaces all day everyday the thought of doing something fiddly like making jewellery made me break out in a cold sweat, I wasn't patient and I certainly didn't have a gentle touch. It took me a lot of practice to make it look so easy, which is why at the workshops I try and create an entirely chilled out no pressure fun environment, where we are all having a great time meeting other awesome people. I will go through each step and give one to one help if you get stuck!
